Industrial Designer ( Los Angeles, CA)

Status: Full-time 
Reports to: Design Manager

As Industrial Designer, utilize product design skills, experience, and knowledge of materials, processes and technology to create innovative product designs. Working cross-functionally with Marketing and Development, meet and exceed products' brief requirements. Initiate new concepts and innovation, ensuring categories continued growth and success. Provide unique design expertise for all assigned products and categories. 


Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Drive the industrial design of innovative and functional home health and wellness products for consumers from sketch concept to production.  

  • Plan and identify all stages of design development of products, including product architecture, design language, validation, and specifications; Participate in brainstorming sessions and meetings to gather product specifications and requirements; Develop products to achieve innovative and appropriate design solutions that meet the standards of the market and industry. 

  • Design for print marketing and branding, including creating logos for a product name and turning marketing content and images into an enticing product package or webpage. 

  • Maintain strong knowledge of current trends, color, technology, health, and wellness-related products working closely with internal and external resources as well as market travel and research. 

  • Demonstrate an understanding of products, product categories, product development, manufacturing, and commercialization processes. 

  • Present design concepts to client groups and provide design solutions to internal and external business and consumers within the established parameters. 

  • Work with other specialists such as mechanical engineers, manufacturers, and marketing strategies to evaluate and consider the function, aesthetics, production costs, and usability of products when developing new product concepts to fill needs. 



  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in the Industrial Design related field 

  • Degree (BA/BFA/BS) in industrial design or related design education preferred. 

  • Working knowledge of Adobe CC. 

  • Proficient in Solidworks, Alias, Rhino, Fusion 360 and/or Keyshot software. 

  • Extensive knowledge of technical materials, construction methods and manufacturing processes. 

  • Ability to sketch and communicate concepts and thought process two-dimensionally. 

  • Capable of operating in a fast-paced, dynamic and evolving environment. 

  • Detail oriented and self-motivated. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills, an ability to use tact and diplomacy when communicating at all levels. 

Store Manager (Westminster, CA)

  • Identify target market segments for U.S. Jaclean’s core products in health and wellness supplies;

  • Train and manage two sales representatives in the store, evaluate their performance on a regularly basis;

  • Research and analyze consumer preferences in U.S. Jaclean’s core products (massage chairs, workout devices, health and beauty supplies) based on brand loyalty, product design, product appeal, retail price, buying habits, etc. to identify factors affecting consumer product demand;

  • Develop marketing plan, build customer database, deal with customers’ feedback, analyze the data and adjust marketing and sales strategies accordingly;

  • Analyze competitor’s prices, marketing strategies, and operations using online tools such as social media; present the conclusion graphically and illustrate the pros and cons;

  • Monitor and forecast marketing and sales trends and product supply/demand trends and sales opportunities;

  • Collect and analyze U.S. Jaclean’s business and operations process for more efficient operation, increased sales initiative, and reduced transaction costs;

  • Monitor inventory in highly-organized order, verify discrepancies between stock quantities and pricing, load and maintain reward program database of our customers;

  • Resolve customers’ complaints as quickly as possible;

  • Attend home shows, state/county fairs, and trade shows to optimize sales volume.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor degree in marketing, business administration, or other business-related fields;

  2. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word;

  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills;

  4. Customer-oriented attitude;

  5. Strong ability in identifying complex problems, evaluating options, and implementing solutions.
